The foundation was established on February 26, 1990, with the aim of preserving the memory of Muhammed İhsan Oğuz, who is known for his religious and scholarly works.
Among the foundation’s objectives are collecting, preserving, and making available to researchers the books, articles, and archival documents of Muhammed İhsan Oğuz. In addition, the foundation aims to encourage, support, and publish historical research examining the social, cultural, religious, and scientific aspects of Turkish society.
A “Muhammed İhsan Oğuz Library” has been established to support access for experts and researchers. Necessary measures are taken to preserve his house in Kastamonu as a memorial site. Another important duty of the foundation is to support and publish research on the life and works of Muhammed İhsan Oğuz. Furthermore, “Mehmet İhsan Oğuz Awards” are presented in accordance with the principles determined by the board of directors.
